My friend Peter shot some great video from the March 23rd, 2008 hearing regarding the Lake Maumelle Watershed. I've embedded it below with hopes that some of you who understand the issue better than me can tell me what is going on. It seems to me like a bit of a "cave-in" by the county. Please tell me I am wrong. If you send further enlightening information I will give it a home and try to display it so that many people can better understand this issue. I welcome your comments. Political Indfidelity
When Jim Dickinson played my run-for-Governor announcement party I asked him to play songs like "Don't You Lie to Me" and "In the Pines"--baby where did you sleep last night? We agreed that infidelity songs were appropriate for both the political climate and the sadly beautiful complicity of the corporate press.
Current case in point: The Arkansas Times still contends that Mike Beebe (Beece/Big Chicken--Beege/Big Gas--the nicknames he's earned thus far) is doing a bang-up job as Governor of Arkansas. I would've thought the shine would have worn off by now and they might call him out on his horrible ignorance and irresponsibility on environmental issues--but perhaps the Times is equally ignorant-- I mean they still believe John Brummet is relevant...Perhaps I'm the one who is emerging from ignorance to this rag's lifelong partisan propaganda.
Anyway, I'd rather show you videos than write tonight. Here's one for Mike Beebe:
